Amenities and Services
The YMCA offers something for everyone. Whatever your interests, we have one word for you: Welcome!
As a member you receive:
- Use of the Aquatic Center.
- Use of Fitness Center.
- Fitness Classes, both on land and in water.
- Wellness Activities (seminars, health screenings, information).
- Six free guest passes annually per adult membership.
- Use of Basketball and Volleyball courts during scheduled hours.
- Use of Sauna, Shower and Locker Rooms.
- Reduced fees on Special Programs and Classes.
- Access to other YMCAs throughout the US and abroad for little or no cost.

2010 Membership Fees
Fees are paid via a monthly electronic funds transfer (90-day minimum agreement) or annual payment in-full. Memberships are non-refundable and non-transferable. Cancellation requires written notice and will take effect the month following notification.

The joining fee is a one-time fee as long as the membership remains current. Joining fees are non-refundable & non-transferable.
Children under age 10 must be accompanied by an adult or enrolled in a supervised program while at the YMCA. Non-swimming children must be accompanied by an adult member while in the pool.

Insurance Coverage
The Ashland Family YMCA does not carry accident insurance on its members or participants. All expenses incurred in the treatment of injuries due to accidents or participation will be the responsibility of the participant and his/her own insurance company.
Class Registration
Pre-registration is required for all classes with a special starting date. Fees must be paid in full at the time of registration. There will be no refunds after the second class session. Some classes have limited enrollment - early registration is recommended.
Financial Assistance
We count on the generosity of our members and donors to support the Y's scholarship program, which focuses on children and teens and provides scholarships, on a sliding scale fee, to those in times of hardship. Gifts to the scholarship fund make a huge difference in the lives of kids in our community. Every dollar donated goes directly to scholarships that send less fortunate kids to camp, teach them water safety and the joy of swimming, and allow them to learn and grow in the Y's after-school programs, sports leagues, and gymnastics classes while building self-esteem and developing the core Y values of caring, honesty, respect and responsibility.
We accept donations online, by check, or using Visa and Mastercard. We are also happy to take donation payments in quarterly or monthly installments.
If you feel that you qualify for assistance this year, contact the Y. Assistance may also depend on the availability of funds.
Termination for Cause
All members are subject to termination for cause. Examples are transferring of membership cards; verbal, physical, or sexual harassment toward any YMCA member, guest, or employee; illegal or unsafe acts; or violation of membership policies. The YMCA reserves the right to refuse service to a member or guest.
Facility Closures
Please note that the entire YMCA will be closed on the following dates in 2010: January 1st, April 4th, May 31th, July 4th, September 6th, November 25th, and December 25th. Fitness Center and wet locker room improvements are planned for summer 2010, resulting in partial closure. Additional closure dates may be necessary for building maintenance or repairs. Your low monthly membership fee takes these closures into account.
