YMCA Camp DeBoer
Building a Camp for Future Generations!
Ashland Family YMCA Capital Campaign

Dear Friends,
Construction of YMCA Camp DeBoer is well underway. We are in the midst of a remarkable opportunity. In 2012, the Girl Scouts camp at Lake of the Woods abruptly closed after falling into disrepair. Ashland residents Sid and Karen DeBoer understood how important camp is for both our youth and our community at large. As a result, they purchased the old camp and donated it to the Ashland Family YMCA along with a generous lead gift of $11 million to ensure the rebirth of a new, state of the art camp facility to serve youth, families, and people of all ages well into the future.
Y-Camp is the soul of our mission and purpose. It is a program steeped with tradition and creates greater opportunities for people of all ages, backgrounds, and beliefs to enjoy the outdoors together. Especially for kids. Y-Camp fosters adventure, friendships, and appreciation of our environment. It is an ideal place for youth to learn values, develop character, and build self-confidence while creating life-long memories.
The positive impact this project will have on youth in the entire Southern Oregon region is immeasurable. The plan calls for YMCA Camp DeBoer to be built for a total project cost of $13.5 million. We are well on our way to meeting our goal and we are reaching out to you to invite you to be a part of making this dream a reality.
Please consider a generous gift to help us rebuild this wonderful camp and help ensure it will serve generations to come. We need your help.
Sincerely,
Lisa
