Member Services/Front Desk

Youth Sports

Full-time, hourly. Inspires and enables gymnasts to achieve their greatest potential, developing skills and techniques to succeed in and outside the gym. Helps oversee and implement a strong, well-rounded, safe, and disciplined gymnastics program that instills all the aspects of the YMCA’s character development values. Must be able to coach a variety of gymnastics classes, ages and levels throughout the week.

YMCA Camp DeBoer

The Kitchen Manager will direct the overall food-service operation of camp and provide nutritious meals to all camp participants and staff. This is a unique and flexible position that will grow and develop alongside a robust camp and conference program in a beautiful lakeside setting. Kitchen Manager duties will follow the schedule of camp. There will be regular gaps and breaks throughout the camping season.

Schedule: Seasonally from April 28th – November 1st

YMCA Camp DeBoer, located on the southeast shore of beautiful Lake of the Woods, is seeking applicants for our 5th – 6th grade Spring 2025 Residential Outdoor School. Engage students’ connection to self, community, and nature through hands-on activities and explorations. All teaching materials, curricula, and training will be provided. All meals during student programming hours are included as well as some meals when at camp during training; housing as needed. Sleep comfortably in a newer cabin with private bedroom (possibly shared), and shared bath and kitchenette, likely with 1-3 fellow staff. Each work day starts at 7:45am, and programming and clean up runs through to about 9pm. Field Instructors will most often work two nights per week until 9pm. One night a week will end earlier or will include working either an evening program or a campfire. You will know your season-long schedule before the season starts. Regular breaks are available throughout the day, and dining with students is often optional. No mileage stipends or benefits are associated with this seasonal, part-time position.

Schedule: Roughly 30 work days.

Dates are April 21st – June 5th with occasional days off, and every Saturday and Sunday off.

As part of the leadership team, the Arts & Crafts Program Leader supports the camp experience in three major ways. Support and mentor cabin counselors by modeling positive and professional conduct and providing direct skill coaching in the areas of youth management. Organize and implement camp programs such as All-Camp-Games, campfires, and the variety show. Develop and facilitate a highly engaging and robust Arts & Crafts program offered during activity and cabin times each day.

Schedule: Seasonal: 6/25/25 – 8/5/25

In their role as primary caregivers and activity facilitators, Camp Counselors bring the feeling of fun and family to camp as they live and work in a camper cabin, with a co-counselor and a cabin group of 12-14 children ages 6-14. The Counselor is responsible for guiding campers through their days of camp activities and fostering personal growth along the way. If you enjoy connecting with kids, rocking silly songs at campfire, building forts for fairies, capturing the flag, splashing in the lake, and tie-dying socks this might just be the gig for you!

Schedule: Seasonal: 6/29/25 – 7/25/25 (or 8/5/25 for selected counselors)

As part of the leadership team, the Logistics Program Leader supports the camp experience in three major ways. They monitor, organize and communicate systems for camp such as registration & health information, cabin assignments, camper mail, and special camper needs. Organize and facilitate camp store systems including scheduling cabin store times, inventorying store merchandise, tracking camper store credit, staffing the store daily when open to campers. AS ASSIGNED: Support and mentor cabin counselors by modeling positive and professional conduct and providing direct skill coaching in the areas of youth management OR support camp programming by helping to facilitate program such as campfire or variety show. This portion of staff time for this role will depend on experience and strengths.

They support and mentor cabin counselors by modeling positive and professional conduct and providing direct skill coaching in the areas of youth management. Organize and implement camp programs such as All-Camp-Games, campfires, and the variety show. Manage YMCA Camp DeBoer Waterfront: Develop and facilitate a robust and safe Waterfront program including instruction in boating (kayaking, canoeing, SUPing); supervise and support lifeguards to ensure effective waterfront safety and programming; collaborate with the leadership team to create the staff and camper waterfront schedules.
