ChildWatch
Drop-in childcare while you enjoy a fitness class, swim laps in the pool or watch your other child in a class! Maximum of two hours per visit. Add our ChildWatch Monthly Add-On to your membership and your child can attend as many days a month as you’d like!
Monthly Add-On: $30 for one child, $10 for each additional child
Drop in fees: $8 Y-members/$12 Community price per child, per visit
Monday-Saturday 9a-1p
Tuesday & Thursday 4p-7p beginning October 8!
Kids Night Out
Enjoy some time to yourself while we watch the kids!
Kids ages 4-12 will enjoy a night out at the Y. Activities include: crafts, gymnastics floor obstacle course, swimming (kindergarten and older) and more. For certain activities, children may be split into age groups. Dinner is provided.
Friday night, 5p-9p. Drop off from 5p-5:30p / pick up from 8:30p-9p

Safe Sitter®
Safe Sitter® prepares students in grades 6-8 to be safe when they’re home alone, watching younger siblings, or babysitting. Students learn life-saving skills such as how to rescue someone who’s choking, and helpful information like what to do in an emergency, how to change a diaper, and more. The lessons are filled with fun activities and role-playing exercises!
Participants only need to attend one class to complete the course. Participants should pack a water bottle and snacks. There will be a one-hour lunch break; participants are welcome to bring a lunch and eat at the Y, or they may go off-site for this hour.

School’s Out Days
When school is out, the Y is in!
On early release, conference, in-service and holidays, we offer School’s Out Days from 7:30a-6p for K-6th grade and select dates for children ages 4 and 5. Drop off from 7:30a-9a and pick up from 4p-6p. Activities may include: swimming, playing active games, making crafts, and more! Please pack a water bottle, snack, lunch, swimsuit, towel & clothing for play outside. *School’s Out Days are included for those enrolled in our Afterschool Care PLUS plan.
Fees: A $10 non-refundable, non-transferable deposit is due for each day at the time of registration.

Preschool
Our Preschool is a licensed program. The Ashland Family YMCA is invested in providing quality, full-day early childhood opportunities to families in the valley. Our Preschool Programs run Monday – Friday from 7:30a-6p to support working families. We understand the cost of childcare is high and we are committed to reducing financial barriers so all children can experience opportunities to learn, grow, and thrive in a social environment. We accept ERDC! Any family who applies for financial assistance with our Preschool Programs (Ashland and Talent) will be awarded financial assistance.
Afterschool
Where kids play and excel after the school bell!
Afterschool Care strives to keep youth active, busy and engaged during the critical hours after school. With a well-rounded approach to youth development, Afterschool Care offers activities in a caring and safe environment. Afterschool Care is for children enrolled in the Ashland School District, in grades kindergarten through fifth. Participants will have opportunities to do homework, participate in indoor and outdoor play, explore the arts, experience STEM, and have free choice with small and large group activities. We also provide an afterschool snack!
Activity Service is also offered if you enroll your child in an activity at the Y! They will ride a bus from one of the school sites listed above and our Afterschool Care staff will take them to and from their lesson.
Locations: We are on-site at Bellview, Helman, Walker and the Y.
Schedule & fees:
3 days/week: $230 Y-member/$270 Community
5 days/week: $325 Y-member/$365 Community
Afterschool Care PLUS plan: 5 days a week and enrollment in all School’s Out Days
$375 Y-member/$415 Community
2 day/week option available for those enrolled in Activity Service only
