Preschool with the Ashland Family YMCA
Our Preschool is a licensed program. The Ashland Family YMCA is invested in providing quality early childhood opportunities to families throughout the Rogue Valley. We understand the cost of childcare is high, and we are committed to reducing financial barriers so all children have the opportunity to learn, grow, and thrive in a nurturing social environment.
Program Hours
Phoenix-Talent School District Locations (Orchard Hill Elementary & Talent Elementary)
Monday–Friday
• Part-Day: 8:00am–12:00pm
• Full-Day: 8:00am–5:30pm
Ashland School District Locations (Helman Elementary & Walker Elementary)
Monday–Friday
• Part-Day: 7:45am–12:00pm
• Full-Day: 7:45am–5:30pm

Program Options
We offer both Part-Day and Full-Day preschool options at all four locations. Please refer to the Program Hours above for the schedule at each school.
We accept ERDC at all preschool locations. Preschool Promise is accepted at our Talent Elementary location. YMCA Financial Assistance is available at all locations for qualifying families.
Children must be 3 years old by September 1, 2026, to enroll for the 2026–2027 school year.

Tuition & Fees
A $175 non-refundable, non-transferable materials and supplies fee is due at the time of registration.
Monthly Tuition
- Full-Day: $1,600 per month
- Part-Day: $1,200 per month
All enrollment options are five days per week.
Tuition is drafted monthly, 14 days prior to the start of each month, using the debit card, credit card, or bank account on file with the YMCA. Monthly tuition has been averaged across the school year to provide consistent payments and accounts for holidays, in-service days, teacher workdays, and other scheduled school closures.
Our Preschool Program
The goal of the Ashland Family YMCA Preschool is to provide children with a strong foundation for lifelong learning and success in elementary school. Our program includes:
- A curriculum that encourages dramatic and imaginative play, art, movement, science, math, literacy, and hands-on exploration.
- Age-appropriate development of early literacy, math, cognitive problem-solving, and fine and gross motor skills.
- Daily opportunities to build social-emotional and school-readiness skills, including friendship, cooperation, sharing, communication, and taking turns.
- A welcoming, inclusive learning environment that celebrates diversity and encourages active, child-centered learning.
