I first began my professional fitness career in 1986 while living in California and was employed at Malibu Fitness where I managed the facility and did personal training. After raising four incredible children here in Ashland I am back into helping others achieve their fitness goals.

Hi, I’m Rion. I have 2 sons that motivate me to be the best version of myself every day. That being said I am a US navy veteran and come from the trades as a journeyman welder/fabricator. Hello I’m Max! I grew up coming to the Ashland YMCA, so being part of this community now as a trainer feels like coming full circle. I believe that moving your body with ease and building strength are key to longevity and feeling good in everyday life. I specialize in strength training and mobility work, and I love customizing programs that keep clients challenged, motivated, and excited to come back.
When I’m not in the gym, you’ll usually find me outside snowboarding, hiking, camping, or playing music. I’m passionate about cooking and eating good food, which is what led me to dive deeper into the nutrition side of wellness.
