Mission & Membership

Ashland Family YMCA has established a set of policies to ensure the safety, well-being, and positive experience of all its members and participants. These policies are designed to uphold the YMCA’s values and create a respectful and inclusive environment.

We welcome individuals and families to become members, offering access to its facilities, programs, and services. Some membership details and benefits are subject to the specific membership type chosen.

Our Membership Policies

Code of Conduct

The YMCA promotes a respectful and inclusive atmosphere. All members and participants are expected to adhere to the YMCA’s code of conduct, which includes treating others with kindness and respect and refraining from any behavior that could compromise the well-being of fellow members or staff.

Youth Policies

The YMCA places a strong emphasis on the safety of children and youth. Youth members and program participants must follow specific guidelines, and childcare areas are supervised to ensure a secure environment.

Facility Use Policies:

Members are expected to use YMCA facilities responsibly and to follow guidelines for equipment usage and maintenance. Gymnasium, swimming pool, and fitness center policies help ensure that everyone can enjoy these spaces safely and comfortably.

Non-Profit

Our YMCA is a private not-for-profit organization. It is the policy of the Association to make membership available to all persons regardless of race, color, religion, sex, age, marital status, sexual orientation, national origin, disability, status as a disabled veteran, or financial circumstances: without discrimination.
