Celebrate your birthday with the Y!

Birthday parties are on pause for the summer through August 31, 2025. We will begin taking birthday party reservations again in September.

Drop-in childcare while you enjoy a fitness class, swim laps in the pool or watch your other child in a class!

Maximum of two hours per visit.

Drop in fees: $12 Community price per child, per visit

Available for kids ages 12 weeks to 11 years old. Included in a family membership!

*ChildWatch will close 45 minutes early if there are no children in the room at that time

ChildWatch Summer Hours through August 31, 2025:

• Monday-Friday from 9a-1p
• Tues/Wed/Thur from 4p-7p

Fall Hours effective September 2 – December 19, 2025

• Monday-Saturday from 9a-1p
• Tuesday/Thursday from 4p-7p

Our holiday hours for December 22-January 3 will be posted in mid-November.

Get your holiday shopping done while we watch the kids!

Kids ages 4-10 will enjoy an afternoon at the Y! Activities include gingerbread house decorating, holiday crafts, gymnastics floor obstacle course and more! A snack and lunch will be provided. Our aquatics center will be closed and we will not go swimming.

Saturday afternoon, 12p-5p. Drop off from 12p-12:30p and pick up from 4:30p-5p.

Enjoy some time to yourself while we watch the kids!

Kids ages 4-10 will enjoy a night out at the Y. For certain activities, children may be split into age groups. Pizza and veggies or fruit is provided for dinner. Activities may include swimming, crafts, gymnastics floor obstacle course, and more!

Saturday nights, 5p-9p. Drop off from 5p-5:30p and pick up from 8:30p-9p. Each Kids Night Out will feature a different specialty activity.

• September 20: DIY fairy or bird houses
• October 18: Halloween extravaganza – bounce house, pumpkin bowling and more!
• November 15: Make your own no bake mini pie

$35 Y-members/ $55 Community per child

Safe Sitter® prepares students in grades 6-8 to be safe when they’re home alone, watching younger siblings, or babysitting. Students learn life-saving skills such as how to rescue someone who’s choking, and helpful information like what to do in an emergency, how to change a diaper, and more. The lessons are filled with fun activities and role-playing exercises!

Active participation in the class is required to complete the course. Participants should pack a water bottle and snacks. There will be a 30-minute lunch break; participants are welcome to bring lunch and eat at the Y, or they may go off-site.

Fees: $75 Y-members / $100 Community

When school is out, the Y is in!

On conference days, teacher in-services and school holidays, we offer School’s Out Days from 7:30a-6p for kids in K-6th grade. Drop off from 7:30a-9a and pick up from 4p-6p. Activities may include: active play, STEAM activities, swimming, free choice stations and more! Please pack a water bottle, snack, lunch, swimsuit, towel & clothing for play outside. *School’s Out Days are automatically included for those enrolled in our Afterschool Care PLUS plan

Fees: $45 Y-members/ $75 Community price per day, per child

A $10 non-refundable, non-transferable deposit is due for each day at the time of registration.

Our Aquatics Center will be closed all of December and we will not be able to swim over winter break.

Our Preschool is a licensed program. The Ashland Family YMCA is invested in providing quality, full-day early childhood opportunities to families in the valley. Our Preschool Programs run Monday – Friday from 7:30a-6p to support working families. We understand the cost of childcare is high and we are committed to reducing financial barriers so all children can experience opportunities to learn, grow, and thrive in a social environment. We accept ERDC! Any family who applies for financial assistance with our Preschool Programs (Ashland and Talent) will be awarded financial assistance.

Where kids play and excel after the school bell!

Afterschool Care strives to keep youth active, busy and engaged during the critical hours after school. With a well-rounded approach to youth development, Afterschool Care offers activities in a caring and safe environment. Afterschool Care is for children enrolled in the Ashland School District, in grades kindergarten through fifth. Participants will have opportunities to do homework, participate in indoor and outdoor play, explore the arts, experience STEM, and have free choice with small and large group activities. We also provide an afterschool snack!

Activity Service is also offered if you enroll your child in an activity at the Y! They will ride a bus from one of the school sites listed above and our Afterschool Care staff will take them to and from their lesson.

Locations: We are on-site at Bellview, Helman, Walker and the Y.

Schedule & fees:

3 days/week: $230 Y-member/$270 Community

5 days/week: $325 Y-member/$365 Community

Afterschool Care PLUS plan: 5 days a week and enrollment in all School’s Out Days

$375 Y-member/$415 Community

2 day/week option available for those enrolled in Activity Service only
